01.14.10 Thank you everyone who attended our first 2010 team meeting. We had a great turnout and a great speaker line up. Our team roster is already over 400 riders which is great considering it's barely February. Thank you to all of our speakers: David Raetz from the Irvine Conservacy, Gven Sariol and Dave Jordaan, and guest speaker, Rahsaan Bahati. Matt Ford addressed a few items of interest with the team - first and foremost, the team clothing ordered. We have the next round of team jerseys coming in before the end of February. Shorts and misc. items to follow a few weeks later. We introduced our new team sponsors and discussed some additions to our team web site. There is now a link to the Masters site and the Juniors site. We also went through how the team is set up and how funds are distributed for all the new members of the team. Thank you to all of our team captains who spoke to the team of this year's plans at the races. As mentioned before, we're a 100% volunteer run organization. We're always looking for ideas and help to make the team better. From organized team rides to helping out at the races and events, we need your involvement and it counts towards your requirement of volunteering to receive race reimbursement for those racers on the team. If you are a new member and you race, you are required to volunteer at least once during the year at a team function to be eligible for race reimbursement. We have ways to help out all year long. I see more people are utilizing the blog and uploading pics to the gallery. Looking for a ride or trying to sell a bike? Post it up on the blog! We list all the years events on the site as well as the latest news, photos, special announcements and team downloadable forms. If you are trying to find out specific race info or event info, contact our team captains listed on the team info page of the site. Interested in a team road ride to San Diego from Irvine? We also have other scheduled events popping up on the calendar over the next few months. For those of you who couldn't make it to the team meeting, I wanted to let you know that the team is having our annual TEAM VELOSPORT SALE NIGHT at Irvine Rock n Road.
