Hello Everyone !
WOW, this is already our 5th Wednesday ride ! Thank you to everyone, who has participated and helped us so far, to make this a very successful weekly event! And YES we will have these rides EVERY Wednesday until further notifications.
Before you get more info about this weeks ride, we would like to do a little survey about other venues in Orange County, please send us a short e-mail what do you think about Crystal Cove State Park ( or also known as El Moro ), because we are not sure if it is suited as a beginner ride. On the other hand O’Neil Regional Park is perfect for a beginner ride but a little further to drive with the car (Trabuco Canyon Road!)
This Wednesday we are going back to one of the most popular mountain bike riding locations: Whiting Ranch Regional Park.
Meet at 5:15pm in the parking lot in front of the Blockbuster Store at the corner of Bake Parkway and Portola Parkway in Foothill Ranch, CA 92610.
Here is a link to a map of Whiting Ranch:

Planning to start the ride at 5:30pm after a short introduction to safety rules.
We got positive feedback for keeping speeds down to beginner level. We will start all together with the Borrego Trail, which currently will definitely hone your skills for riding in deep sand. Beginners will go directly up Mustard to 4 Corners while intermediate will get some extra credits with the Cattle Pond Loop. After a well deserved break at 4 Corners, we ALL will hit Cactus Hill Trail. Again intermediate riders will get some extra credit with an additional climb (or called “Big Cactus”). We all should be able to finish with Serrano Cow Trail or even hit Line Shack Road as well. The ride should not take longer than 70minutes, but if requested, we can stop at certain spots and practice some specific skills, like body positions, efficient pedaling, etc ….
Please email John Dang (jdang158@gmail.com) or myself for any further questions and to be honest, we would like to know how many people will show up, so a “RSVP” would be nice but not mandatory.
Looking forward to see you again !
