Hello all,
For the past several weeks Kent Peppard has been hosting a spin-ride based out of the Irvine store. You\'ve probably seen the email(s) from Damion about this but I also wanted to post it here in case we missed some of you.
Overview: Up to 65 miles of flat roads, with a 22mph max on the flat sections primarily in your 39T with 60 second pulls at the front. Not a difficult (strenuous) ride, but a long one, meant to build base fitness leading into the winter season. And a combination of social and training ride that let\'s everyone meet some other team members and get a good spin at the same time. Kent has alternated betweed Solana Beach at 65 miles (when the team van is available) and Seal Beach at 63 miles. We will be modifying the route occcasionally to keep things interesting and add mileage as the weeks progress. Not a race, or race-pace; no attacking on hills or aggressive riding - save that for El Do, ha ha! Non-club members are welcome and we\'ve also had a couple of people on TT bikes that really enjoyed the format as well, so for those of you TT junkies out there - consider this ride a good training option.
We roll at 7:30 sharp from the Irvine store and arrive back around 11:30am. Hope to see some "new" faces each Saturday.
