Matthias Jezek
Hi,
Our Season Finale at Big Bear, 10/24/2009, is coming closer and closer ! only 3 weeks away ! Most of our regulars have meanwhile advanced their skills and fitness, so the planned 18mile loop at 7500 feet above sea level, is going to be a piece of cake ! We all will meet at the Snow Summit Area. But don’t worry, this is going to be a ride for EVERYONE, so we will make plenty of stops at a slow pace. ( or split into two groups, with different speeds …). Please send us an email if you would like to join us for this ride and keep the fingers crossed for good riding conditions !
Also as the days are getting shorter, we really have to start our rides on time to get at least 60 Minutes true riding time. This Wednesday we are going back to one of the most popular mountain bike riding locations in OrangeCounty: WhitingRanchRegionalPark.
Meet at 5:15pm in the parking lot in front of the Blockbuster Store at the corner of Bake Parkway and Portola Parkway in Foothill Ranch, CA 92610.
Planning to start the ride at 5:30pm after a short introduction to safety rules.
If you are late, you will have to ride by yourself and try to catch us,….unfortunately daylight is “against us “. ( the park closes officially after sunset which is now around 7:00pm )
This is going to be our LAST RIDE, without mandatory lights !
We will start, as usual, all together with the Borrego Trail. Beginners will go directly up Mustard, while of course everyone is invited to get some extra credits with the Cattle Pond Loop. At 4 Corners, we will go downhill on whiting road to enjoy the flowing Serrano Cow Trail. If daylight visibility is reasonable, we will climb up Line Shack Road and return for a second time to Serrano Cow Trail. The ride should not take longer than 70minutes, but we will take lots of breaks if needed.
Again, lights are not mandatory yet, but strongly recommended !
Please email John Dang (jdang158@gmail.com) or myself for any further questions and to be honest, we would like to know how many people will show up, so a “RSVP” would be nice but not mandatory.
Future planned Rides:
10/14 Santiago Truck Trail – Lights mandatory !
We always post details for the next ride late Sunday on this website.
