This is actually a beginner race course from the 2009 Team Big Bear Events. Mostly fire road, no steep climbs, a few single tracks but magnificent views ! It should take us not more than 3-4 Hours total, considering lots of breaks as well. This is going to a fun ride for EVERYONE not a “Hammerfest”.
For driving directions enter in your GPS or on the Internet, CLUB VIEW DR, BIG BEAR LAKE, CA. Recommended parking is at the end of club view drive on the left side right after the bear mountain ski resort. From there is just a short 5min ride/walk to the beginning of the course.
Don’t worry, no need for a warm up ride. We plan to roll off at 10:30am, but very slow.
What you should bring with you in addition to your regular gear:
-2nd layer of clothes ( it might be in the low 50’s in the morning)
-Lots of water and snacks
-Spare tube with pump or cartridge
We will setup a “feeding station” at the top of the climb for extra water and snacks, which we will pass twice (Volunteers Wanted !!!!). Of course we will have an opportunity for some extra credit, but this is going to be a surprise.
Again, please email John Dang (jdang158@gmail.com) or myself for RSVP
Can’t wait to see everyone, this is going to be a ride, you will not forget !
