We are back to Blackstar , but now we do not have problems with Daylight!
When: Roll off 6:00pm after a short introduction to safety rules
Meeting point: Beginning of Black Star Canyon Road, XMAS Tree Farm.
Driving Directions: Take Santiago Canyon Road. Turn into Silverado Canyon Road. Take the first left which is Black Star Canyon Road and immediately park on the left side .
Novice Rider Course Description:
The first mile will be on paved road and after the gate we will continue on black star canyon road, a fire road and no steep climbing. We are planning to ride for about 90min all the way to the top for a magnificent view. We will certainly have lot’s of breaks so we are very confident that everyone will make it and as always NOBODY is left behind. Then we will turn around and will carefully descent with a very slow pace.
Experienced Rider Course Description:
Yeah, you guys will ride a little bit higher, further and less breaks all the way to the famous giant “white fussball” or where actually all SOCAL’s weather radar live images are coming from! and enjoy an even better view. We will meet you again on the way down. It should take you about 75min to the top and less than 25min down.
We always get questions via email or during the ride, if our events are strictly for Team Velosport Members. ABSOLUTELY NOT ! Our rides have a focus on Beginner / Novice Rider Level with a “Social Pace” or just for those who have not touched a mountain bike for a while and want to get back into this fantastic sport. We encourage everyone to spread the word and if you have friends, who want to share the fun, please invite them. On the other hand we always offer a 2nd choice of riding course for the more experienced riders and to learn more from well respected mountain bike racers.
