Hello Everyone!
Can you believe it? We already had 20 rides this year (and 1x rainout). Thank you so much for joining us and the great feedback from all of you. Some of you have already improved dramatically, but also every week we see new riders in our 2 groups. To better suit the individual needs and implement more clinics, we have decided to alternate the weekly rides with a special focus on absolute first timers or intermediate skill level starting in August. While, of course, we will not change anything for our core group of novice riders.
Also, do not forget, we have this Saturday 07/31 a Novice MTB Ride at Bonelli Park, San Dimas (US-Cup Course !). Roll Off is going to be 9:00am, but you will get more details in an email this Thursday 07/29.
This Wednesday 07/28, we will be back at Aliso Woods.
Here is a link to a map of Aliso and Wood Canyon Wilderness Park:

When: Meet at 5:45pm with a short introduction to safety rules and a group picture, then roll off sharp at 6:00pm.
Meeting point: 28373 Alicia Parkway, Laguna Niguel, CA 92677
in the parking lot of Gate #1 (there will be a parking fee) and you should be able to spot us with our Sho-air/Sonance/Team Velosport Jersey’s.
Novice Rider Course Description: We will all start together as a warm up with Aliso Creek Trail until we hit Aliso Wood Canyon Trail. This is all flat and easy to ride. We will cut over to Dripping Cave for a little bit of single track fun (and nasty climbing!), and then turn left to climb Mathis. This climb is not technical but for sure it will take us a while until we reach West Ridge Trail and enjoy the beautiful views to either the coast or to the entire regional park. Finally we will head to the northeastern corner of the park and will make our way down hill. Ever did Cholla the other direction? Now is your chance and we guarantee you, it’s fun, but for sure too short. Then finally on the way back we squeeze in Coyote trail and again Dripping Cave. As always if requested, we can stop at certain spots (Dripping Cave would be perfect!) and practice some specific skills, like body position while riding a switchback, efficient up hill pedaling, etc …
Experienced Rider Course Description: Almost identical to the novice rider course but you guys will have the chance to either ride Rock it or Lynx downhill. (we let the group decide). Of course overall speed will be much faster with fewer periods of breaks, but we will briefly regroup at the top of each climb and bottom of each descend.
The next planned Rides:
07/31 Bonelli Park, Novice Riders / Intermediate Riders
08/04 Peter’s Canyon, Novice Riders and special focus on First Timers!
08/11 Whiting Ranch, Novice Riders and special focus on Experienced Riders!
08/18 Black Star, Novice Riders and special focus on First Timers!
Please email us if you have any further questions.
As always, looking forward for a great ride and lots of fun!
