Hi Everybody,
Well, now for the second time in this season, we are going to be at Blackstar Canyon, but this time we have more daylight available, so we can go even further up than last time!
When: Roll off 6:00pm after a short introduction to safety rules
Meeting point: Beginning of Black Star Canyon Road, XMAS Tree Farm.
Driving Directions: Take Santiago Canyon Road. Turn into Silverado Canyon Road. Take the first left which is Black Star Canyon Road and immediately park on the left side. As always you should be able to spot us with our Sho-Air/Team Velosport Jersey’s.
Novice Rider / Social Pace:
The first mile will be on paved road and after the gate we will continue on black star canyon road, a fire road and no steep climbing. We are planning to ride all the way up to the gate before turning around. We will certainly have breaks and as always NOBODY is left behind. On the descent, certainly a very slow pace. It gets now dark by 8:00pm the latest and that should be the time, we will be back to the parking lot.
Experienced Rider Group:
Well, same deal but at a much faster pace and you should be able to make at least to the “Giant White Fussball”, but to make things a little bit more interesting, we will encourage to ride “Single Speed”, even if you have a little bit too many teeth on your rear wheel.
Weather forecast looks good and decent temperatures, but we ride in a canyon and we know Blackstar is always 10 Degrees colder than anywhere else, so you might pack a 2nd layer, just in case …..
