Hi Everyone,
A new riding location for our Wednesday Rides: Santiago Oaks Regional Park! I was always concerned about the challenging and technical trails but recent maintenance and adding new easier trails, will make it now a fun ride for everyone, except absolute beginners. This should not be your first time on a mountain bike! I checked all trails over the weekend and they are in perfect conditions. Here is link to an updated map:

When: Wednesday 06/15, Roll off 6:00pm after a short introduction to safety rules
Meeting point: 5:45pm in the parking lot in front of the Albertsons Store (Jamboree & Santiago Canyon Road). For your GPS: 8440 East Chapman Ave, Orange, CA 92869
Novice Rider / Social Pace
We start on the left Bike Trail at Jamboree Road and enter the regional park at Windy Ridge Road. This will be the only fire road, everything else is going to be fantastic single trails. You get immediately a taste on the Road Runner Loop and it will be also the only flat part of our course but perfect as a warm up. Then we climb Chutes B Trail to the Barham Ridge. You have earned some fun, so we fly down cactus canyon. You guessed right, we have to climb again, so Coachwhip will get your heart rate going. Back on Barham Ridge comes my favorite part, Deer Loop, a fun fresh maintained single trail. Once back again to Barham Ridge we will get back to the Chutes Trail, where we are going to split. For the brave : Going down Chutes Trail A is very technical. For Everyone else Chutes Trail B. Last but not least we finish together with the Roadrunner Loop and back to the parking lot.
Experienced Riders:
First, as always the same like the other group but you earn some extra credit after the Deer Loop. You will literally dive down Anaheim Hills but also climb on steep and slippery rocks. Then more downhill on Yucca Ridge. Of course the fun needs to stop and you will climb Bumble Bee and then the Goat Trail back up to Barham Ridge. Lower your seats (highly recommended) and enjoy Chutes A Trail with all the banked turns and little jumps). You will finish with a fast paced ride through Roadrunner Loop.
As always, looking forward for a great ride and lots of fun !
