Hi Everybody,
First things first ! Jim Bishop made a great video from a Wednesday Ride back in April.
If you are interested: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FUJzHoioAcs
This Wednesday 07/06, we are back at Whiting Ranch Regional Park already for the third time. Here is the link to download the map:
When: Roll off 6:00pm after a short introduction to safety rules
Meeting point: 05:45pm in the parking lot in front of Wahoo’s (27412 Portola Pkwy # A
Lake Forest, CA 92630)
Bring lots of water to drink and maybe some energy bars, temperatures are going to be for sure at least in the 80ies !
Novice Rider / Social Pace:
This time we start with Serrano Road , Line Shack and then Whiting Road to 4 Corners. (yeah, we will avoid the sand pit on the Borrego trail). Anybody needs a rest? You got it ! Then the usual Cactus Hill Trail and Vulture View Road. Sage Scrub ( or what’s left from it ). Now it’s decision time for extra credit going up and down line shack from the other direction. Serrano Cow Trail and live oak trail will bring this ride to an end back to the parking lot at Wahoo’s. This route (with the credit) should not take us longer than 90minutes and is not technical difficult nor has long steep climbs ( except line shack ).
Experienced Rider / Faster Pace
I heard you want some more climbing, … very well … after Serrano road, we are going up Dreaded to Mark Reynolds Bench. Then pretty much the same like the other group but we will do for sure line shack up and then the “little loop” at the top for some extra credit.
The next planned ride:
07/13 O’Neill Regional Park
Please email me if you have any further questions.
As always, looking forward for a great ride and lots of fun!
